Afterword: My Dad

My family has 11 people. I have a mom and a dad, five younger sisters, and three younger brothers. My friends' fathers either make a living by running a business or by working as civil servants, but my father is forever lazing around at home.  All my friends' fathers are working, so I've always wondered why my father never seems to be working. My mom never says anything about it to my dad who stays at home all the time. My mom is a beautiful lady. She is highly regarded in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, my dad's looks are ordinary, if I do say so myself. Still, my parents are very close. I have never seen them quarrel. Mom is always busy with housework such as cooking and laundry, while dad is always lounging around. But they get along well. For some reason though, my dad is really popular. Sometimes, strange women come to see him, and he tells them off and kicks them out. And still they come. When I asked my dad about it, he said they are women from his past. When

Chapter 8: May you have a wonderful summoning!

And so I became a member of the Demon King's army. At this time, the existence of the demon race was already common knowledge, but the existence of a Demon King was not. The majority of the world was currently under the control of humans, so it was impossible to come up with enough power immediately to oppose humanity's rule. Therefore, the Demon King had been stealthily building up his forces behind the scenes. The Demon King's goal was to utterly destroy the human race and rule the world in their stead. There were no humans other than myself and the people I had brought along with me within the Demon King's army. This often left me in a difficult position, having to fend demons off with Dark Matter. My only purpose was to summon. As long as my wife and I continued to survive and I could keep on summoning, I didn't care whether the human race or the demon race perished. However, from that point of view, it would be troublesome if the human race were to be d

Chapter 7: All I have to do is get a hit

For a long time, I had believed I had no luck. I thought that my summoning luck was the worst. I thought that even if I continued summoning for the rest of my life, all I would get would be Slime. I can no longer remember the number of times I have summoned. Somewhere along the line, summoning partially became an end in and of itself. The anticipation of random summoning was accompanied by a strong sense of euphoria as I placed the magic stones in the array. My fingers trembled as I placed the stones, and a great surge of pleasure rushed through my brain as I recited the spell. This had partly become a form of entertainment for me. Which was why I should be able to give up on it. I thought I could give up on it. If nothing but Slime would ever appear, I could already predict the result. I looked at the small Demon I had just summoned standing shakily at my feet, and I was certain I had heard the voice of God. I just had not summoned enough times yet so far — I would be

Chapter 6: Too much greed.

I may have had no morals, but I did have common sense. I tilted my head, staring at the bottle of "Legal Slime Solution" ― the secretion from my Perfect Slime ― balanced on the palm of my hand. I had tested it on some slaves, but it was too powerful. It was far more potent than most other poisons, and the mere touch of it can leave one a prisoner of pleasure. If used undiluted, a single drop was enough to permanently incapacitate someone. Its use was limited since it was so strong. If it were to appear on the market, it would surely be declared illegal. If it became known that this was a secretion of Slime, an anti-Slime movement would be unavoidable. Though that would be bad enough, if I were unlucky, I might even end up hanged for it. At first, I considered dosing the princess with it to make her fall in love with me, but then she would become a mindless lover... and besides, I had already amassed great fortune and fame. The princess probably had a very positive impress

Chapter 5: The next time. The next time might be it!

The title bestowed upon me was a barony. It was a somewhat honorary title, with no hereditary succession allowed and no titled lands. The state would pay me a meagre salary, but it was at best only equivalent to about 4 or 5 magic stones. The terms might have been better if the winner had been a knight commander who had served his country for a long time, but this was the most they could allow for an outsider like me. Even though I had expected something like this, I still clicked my tongue, feeling rather salty. In any case, I was a wealthy man, if only within the context of an average man or a knight. One year's salary was instantly converted into 4 magic stones, which was then converted into 4 Slimes as if by default. This wasn't a futile move. I was buying a dream and possibilities. I hired an artist to produce a sketch of the 4 Slimes, along with a couple of other Slimes I had stored in a warehouse I had recently rented to cope with the overpopulation of Slimes I had. I

Chapter 4: God doesn't roll the dice, but I'll keep summoning

For the first time in a long time, I poured my brains into something other than summoning and began working on a strategy to capture the Third Princess. There were two options. Namely, it was either going to be a frontal attack or a roundabout approach. For someone like me who had already sold my soul to the darkness of random summoning, morality no longer mattered. As such, neither ethics nor morals, only risk and return, factored into my decision on which method to take. I asked my merchant friends for help. King of Laundry, the Slime sex service, and Metal Seed trading. Since this was the 4th time I was asking the merchants for help, I was completely unruffled, even when the merchants stared at me like they were wondering what chaos I would stir up this time. Just as I was obsessed with summoning, they were obsessed with money. I felt that being obsessed with summoning was preferable to being obsessed with making money, but perhaps both were equally bad from the perspective of

Chapter 3: If I keep pulling until it appears, it'll be 100%

A merchant's connections had a wide reach, both in terms of breadth and depth. I still retained some influence from my stint as the former King of Laundry, and I had also built up some connections here after spending several years in this country. Besides that, the item I wanted to trade was the very lucrative Metal Seed, so I found a business partner almost immediately. After all, this was a very rare metal. To give you a better understanding of how rare it is, legendary swords and such other items are made from it. I could foresee that trouble would befall me if I ever told anyone that I could make it. Thus, saying that I had found it by chance, I sold the Metal Seeds freshly produced via Vassal Fusion to an arms dealer at a high price. This business continued. The other party involved must have had some suspicions about me for being able to deliver Metal Seeds on such a regular basis, but he said nothing at all. It would be a terrible loss if I took my Metal Seeds to anoth
