[FLOTG] Chapter 16: Retirement Commotion

In a large private room, twenty or so handsome men and lovely ladies mingled. The food on the table had already turned cold, and there were empty drink bottles strewn all around the floor. Only the hotpot was still bubbling, emitting hot steam, slowly evaporating away under the dazzling lights of the chandelier. A handsome man sat quietly in a corner of the noisy room. He was looking down at his handphone, his long eyelashes clearly defined under the light. On the screen of his phone was a photo. A man lounged lazily in a chair with an ankle crossed over his knee, a birthday hat perched crookedly on his head, and a pink birthday cake brimming with girlish charm before him. He had clean and soft facial features, and when he smiled, his eyes scrunched up until they were no longer visible, a mirror image of the cute little fox decorating his cake. Shen Huai's lips curled into a barely perceptible smile. He found it unspeakably adorable for Song Xue-Yang to appear in the same pho

[FLOTG] Chapter 15: First Meeting

On Friday night, the manager of Maple Moon drove them to the restaurant. Song Xue-Yang asked, "Kun, are you really not going to come join us for a drink?" "If I drink, then who'll drive you all home later?" Their manager mock glared at them, but quickly eased off with a laugh. "I'll pass and let you team members have your team bonding. Don't drink too much, and just give me a call when you all are almost done." Song Xue-Yang smiled and said, "Don't worry, with me watching over them, they won't be able to drink much. Drive safe, Kun." Hai Xing didn't put much stock in those words — when he saw that Song Xue-Yang wasn't the one driving tonight, he already knew that this would be yet another night where no one would leave until they were wasted. He rubbed his belly, regretting that he hadn't prepped his stomach for the drinking to come since he had only been thinking about feasting when he left. Amused, Song

[FLOTG] Chapter 14: Gathering

Shen Huai arrived from the West Gate right around the time the enemy spellcaster revived {T/N: In the raws, the actual phrase the author used here was 'the control skill on the spellcaster ended', but that just makes no sense since the spellcaster died in the last chapter. I thought that the author might be referring to the surviving elementalist instead, but there really aren't any clues to indicate that one way or another. And soon after, all characters are mentioned, so I might as well revive the spellcaster here...} . The spellcaster had just begun to counterattack when an assassin emerged out of nowhere, interrupting his skills with two quick flicks of a knife at close range! At the same time, a bullet grazed by his shoulder. Shen Huai: [ ...... ] <Falling Sleet>: [ Hehe, I missed. ] Since the assassin and the sniper had both ran over to the Main Gate, the resurrected holy priest and launcher abandoned the West Gate for the Main Gate as well. The launcher

Shen Huai was also well aware that this wasn't the best way to delegate the lanes, but he did not feel like expending the effort to argue. Besides, a game at Warrior rank was no problem for him. The 6v6 War Campaign mode drew inspiration from the traditional Chinese games of warfare. The player teams would be automatically divided at the start into attackers and defenders. The victory condition for the attackers was to break through the city gates and destroy the city banner in the heart of the city, while the defenders' mission was to crush the enemy camp. Every time a player kills an enemy player during the match, they would receive attribute bonuses. Besides that, there was one other key point ― clearing minions. Three minutes into the game, both camps would automatically dispatch minions. The first side to kill 100 minions would obtain either an attack tank or a defense tank. The tanks had great attack power, so the team which manages to obtain tank-support first woul
