[FLOTG] Chapter 30: The Last Teammate

When Shen Huai finished signing the contract, he found Song Xue-Yang waiting for him outside the room. He was leaning against the window looking down at his handphone, only looking up when he heard movement from the door, a smile beaming from his alluring eyes. Seeing how happy he was, Shen Huai found himself smiling as well. "How long have you been waiting?" Song Xue-Yang did not reply but stretched out his hand. "Welcome to Maple Moon, my new teammate." Shen Huai clasped Song Xue-Yang's hand, only to be unexpectedly reeled in by the other into a hug. Shen Huai's body froze because of the hug. Usually, he did not come into close contact with anyone outside of the requirements of filming, but now, he had already been hugged twice in just three days after meeting Song Xue-Yang. Song Xue-Yang's embrace was very warm, and the faint fragrance on his clothes was just the type that Shen Huai liked. Shen Huai felt like a tense coil, like a cat with

After the afternoon training, Song Xue-Yang led Shen Huai to the dormitory. Shen Huai had been here before last time, but he hadn't expected to move in himself one day and couldn't help feeling a little emotional about it. The layout of the dormitory was two bedrooms with a shared living room. Shen Huai's room was right across from Song Xue-Yang's room, door facing door, with a spacious living room in the middle. Since they had known Song Xue-Yang would be returning, the room had already been cleaned. Song Xue-Yang pushed the door open. The floor was piled with Shen Huai's previous purchases which had been delivered. "There wasn't much time so the room is a little empty. Just settle in for now and you can go buy some things to decorate later." Shen Huai examined the small bedroom. "It's fine. It's better than living alone." Song Xue-Yang felt a flash of heat in his heart. He squatted down to sort through the packages on the

Inside the office of the captain of Primo Wolf, a skinny boy stared intently at the screen. When he saw an unfamiliar assassin suddenly appear, he turned to look blankly at his captain standing behind him. Guan He's expression was stern. "Concentrate." Shi Yi's eyes were a little red. He had joined Primo Wolf at 16 years old, and Guan He had always watched out for him. On his very first year in the team, Guan He had already taken him to the professional leagues and had given him the best resources in the team, but he had continued to disappoint Guan He. Flickering Heaven's Wrath to smite the martial god; Sacrificing the holy priest to Arena's random draw. It was like an endless joke constantly mocking his incompetence. When his teammate's fists had slammed into him, he hadn't even had the will to resist. He had made too many mistakes that a pro player shouldn't have, so there was nothing he could say even if he were to be fired from the t

The first to combust was Hai Xing — Song Xue-Yang could almost imagine him jumping three feet into the air. [ Awesome! Let's have a welcome party! I'll go order a cake now! ] Fan Jing-Ming gleefully began to tease him. [ Shall I buy some wedding balloons {拉花气球: Literally "pulled-flower balloons". Decorative balloons, but this term is generally used to refer to custom balloons for weddings. See example image below: } ? ] Zhou Ning was, as always, the more dependable one. [ Fox, will he be rooming with you? Shall I ask the dorm auntie to clean things up a bit? ] Song Xue-Yang watched the constant stream of messages popping up on the screen and cheerfully replied with just three words. [ Keep things simple. ] He was afraid that this group of people would make things so grand that Ash Wing would be scared silly when the time came. After all, who could imagine that the bigshot esports live-streamer with over a million fans would turn out to be the flower-v

[FLOTG] Chapter 26: I Was Mistaken

After confirming his itinerary, Shen Huai called Shen Nuo to update him, but Shen Nuo did not pick up. His assistant, Mr. Jin, was the one who took the call. When Assistant Jin heard that Shen Huai was going to go report for work at a club, he took the initiative to book Shen Huai's flight tickets and then wished him good luck, saying that he would go watch him play live if he had the chance. Assistant Jin had been with Shen Nuo for decades and had watched Shen Huai grow up. He knew that Shen Huai was introverted and not good with words, and that he had disliked acting since he was small. Although it was a bit of a shame for him to quit the entertainment industry, it wasn't a bad thing overall. Shen Huai chatted with him for a bit before hanging up. He walked over to his computer and was just about to close his game when an invitation to spar popped up on his screen. A level-80 gunner stood beside his character, dressed in an incomplete set of equipment. Shen Huai rejec

Shen Huai was left speechless. After all of that, he still hadn't managed to escape the eyes of this fox. But he soon decided that letting the issue end like this was pretty good overall. If he had to take the initiative to explain, he probably wouldn't know how to start anyhow. He looked at Song Xue-Yang and said sincerely, "It's been hard on you." An indescribable surge of emotion rose up within Song Xue-Yang. His fingertips trembled, but his expression remained cool and composed. He set his things down and then moved forwards to wrap Shen Huai into a big hug. He thought that, from this moment on, Ash Wing was his. The most intimate Shen Huai had ever gotten with another person was an arm around the shoulder, and that was with his own father. With other friends, he would at most shake their hand. Now, suddenly hugged by a man he had only met two times before this, he felt so overwhelmed he hardly dared to breathe. Still, he could feel Song Xue-Yang'
