Chapter 31

Yun Duo and Lin Zi stayed at the highlands training base for two days. Besides the swimming team, they also took the chance to interview the two provincial track teams who were training there as well. The structure and facilities of the highlands training base were pretty good, but unfortunately, its surroundings were especially undisturbed — pure wild nature — so there was nothing much fun to do. Lin Zi was still making noise about going to Qinghai Lake which was about 100 km away; Yun Duo told him to go on his own. In the end, he could only follow her back to City-B. Meanwhile, Tang Yi-Bai had to stay and train at the base for another half a month. When they returned to the office, Yun Duo was once again extremely busy. She was responsible for covering the water events, which not only encompassed news on swimming, but also diving and synchronised swimming. Moreover, as she was still a junior reporter, she would occasionally be conscripted by the more senior reporters to run erran

After this round of analysis by Lin Zi, Yun Duo realised that she was indeed about to be done for. If the rumours began to take this turn, not only would she offend Qian Xu-Dong, she would even draw the resentment of the people around her. She would definitely stand out from her current duo with Lin Zi to become Director Liu's number one hated person. Moreover, what would her colleagues think of her? Young, impetuous, and over-reaching, resorting to unscrupulous methods in order to achieve her ends, gossipy and immoral ... Although everyone would only spread the rumour secretly, all of the hate would eventually end up on her head. "That's just too vicious ..." Yun Duo's legs felt weak just thinking about the possibility. "Who did I offend? Going so far to harm me." "I don't know." Lin Zi shook his head, his chin still leisurely propped up against an arm as he chewed. He was still eating his candy. Yun Duo was rather anxious. "T

Yun: Three years ago, you were banned from competing due to a urine test coming back positive for stimulants. Many people have been wondering about the cause of the positive results. Tang: In July of that year, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) executed an impromptu update on the list of banned drugs and medications. My team doctor did not see the updated list in time. In August, he prescribed a nutritional supplement for me. This supplement contained a type of peptide hormone which just so happened to be one of the new drugs on the list of banned medications. At that time, he was unaware and I was also unaware. And so I took the supplements, and my urine test came back positive. Yun: So it was a case of accidental consumption? Tang: Yes. Yun: Why the three year ban then? Compared to the typical penalty, it's rather long. Especially if it was just an accident. Tang: The timing was just so coincidental. In the first half of that year, there had been several international

Tang Yi-Bai's arrival caused a small commotion. The entire agency was working within the sports industry — even the cleaning ladies could chat a little about the NBA Champions League — so everyone here was much more sensitive to the trends within the sports industry than the average person. Tang Yi-Bai's record time of 47.88 seconds had already become widespread news. Quite a number of those working in the sports circle were keeping an eye on the situation — now, seeing Tang Yi-Bai here today, how could they let the opportunity just slip by? Wefie, wefie! The female colleagues were particularly wild. They had never ever seen such a handsome man!!! With a figure even better than a model's!!!!! And so, Tang Yi-Bai was intercepted as soon as he entered the doors of the agency. When Yun Duo went downstairs to look for him, she saw him standing in the main hall, with a never-ending line of people taking turns to take wefies with him. He was taking it well, at least, re

By the time his parents arrived home, Tang Yi-Bai had already calmed down. Although he did not approve of his mother's methods, he understood where she was coming from. After all, he was her only son (Er-Bai does not count) — not coming home for so long, she must have missed him terribly. On top of that, she was becoming menopausal, so it was quite understandable that she would have done something so excessive in a fit of rage. When Madam Lu arrived home, she saw her son sitting cross-legged on Er-Bai's bed in the living room, head bent over his phone as he fiddled with it. For this tall brat with his long legs, Er-Bai's little bed was pretty much just a relatively bigger cushion. Er-Bai, who had had his territory invaded, was slumped sadly at one side, looking first at Tang Yi-Bai then turning to look at his lady master. Madam Lu's lips twitched as she stared at the man and the dog, face stern. In the end, Daddy Tang was the first to laugh, "Doudou, we&#
